The curriculum of the German Language Education Program is designed for students to complete 144 credit units over the course of eight semesters. Each semester consists of approximately 21-22 credit units and spans 16 meetings. Core program courses are spread from the 1st semester to the 6th semester. The courses offered in the 7th semester are essentially advanced specialized courses. In the 7th semester, students are directed to participate in the Credit Transfer Program (MBKM) with a total of 20 credit units, allowing courses offered in the 7th semester to be converted into MBKM activities.
At the end of the 5th semester, students' proficiency in the German language will be tested with an equivalent B1 CEFR level German language examination. This examination is mandatory and a must-pass requirement for students in the German Language Education Program at the Bachelor's level. In order to perform optimally in this examination, students are provided with a specialized course in the 5th semester that includes preparation for taking the exam.
The substance of the two main studies, namely translation and tourism, is provided as elective courses that can be taken by students starting from the 5th semester. There are 8 elective courses offered to enhance their competencies. The course coverage in the German Language Education Program is illustrated in the following diagram.
